Archer School Apartments Celebrates Grand Opening
A New Beginning for Charleston’s Eastside
James Doran Company and Humanities Foundation are proud to announce the Grand Opening of Archer School Apartments, celebrated on June 13th, 2024, marking a significant milestone for Charleston’s Eastside community.
The project transformed the historic Henry P. Archer School into 89 affordable homes for seniors. The apartments were designed by Martin Riley and Associates and Bello Garris Architects, and constructed by Trident Construction, LLC.
Archer School Apartments symbolizes a blend of honoring the past while creating new beginnings for residents. This project exemplifies a collaborative effort to enhance affordable housing in Charleston while maintaining the city's architectural heritage.
